Roqad is an innovative SaaS company specializing in identity solutions, with the goal of transforming digital advertising by delivering actionable insights about anonymized users. The company addresses the marketing challenges that arise from customer churn, multi-device ownership, and increasingly fragmented online identities — problems made sharper by the decline of third-party cookies.

Through its identity graph and data onboarding solutions, Roqad enables businesses to reach their target audiences effectively across multiple regions, including North America and Europe. Drawing on expertise in consumer brand attribution and privacy-compliant performance marketing analytics, the platform builds an accurate, continuously updated map of the digital devices in use within specific countries.

The challenge

Carsten Frien, the German founder and CEO of Roqad, was looking for efficiency and speed in raising the company's Series A. He was particularly drawn to Diadem Capital's ability to connect him directly with relevant US venture investors beyond his immediate network. Rather than spending months building those relationships himself, Carsten wanted a faster route to warm introductions with the right venture capitalists.

The solution

Diadem Capital's process appealed to Carsten precisely because it let him concentrate his time where it mattered most: conveying Roqad's distinctive business story to potential investors. The success-based fee structure also aligned closely with his values, ensuring that Diadem's incentives were tied directly to a successful outcome.

From there, Diadem Capital provided comprehensive support and facilitated 23 high-quality introductions to pre-vetted venture capitalists who were already familiar with Roqad's story, investor deck, and background. Each conversation began from a position of context rather than a cold start.

The result

Roqad successfully raised $7M in its Series A round in June 2022. DNX Ventures led the round, with OCA Ventures and Aperiam Ventures also participating.

The relationship did not end there. In December 2022, Carsten returned to Diadem Capital to run a debt round. Diadem facilitated introductions to lenders that produced five term sheets, ultimately closing a debt facility with one of its trusted lending partners. The engagement marked two firsts for Diadem Capital: its first Series A raise and its first repeat client.
